Hey Runa is a spoken English course operated by Runa HR Holdings Inc ("we"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for the app and everything it connects to. Using the app means you accept them. If you don't, do not use it.
You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live. Hey Runa is built for adults learning English and isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has used it, write to support@heyruna.ai and we'll delete the account.
You sign in with Sign in with Apple or with a code we email you — either way we identify your account by the identifier that sign-in gives us, and your progress is attached to it. Keep control of whichever you use: your Apple Account, or your email inbox, because anyone who can sign in as you reaches your account here.
Hey Runa is free. Nothing in the app is for sale, and we never ask you for a payment.
Runa is a course you speak along with: she says the English after you've tried it, and she never hears what you say. Her voice is synthesized by software, and a line can come out with an odd stress or sound. Treat it as practice. Nothing in the app is professional advice of any kind, and we make no promise about how much English you'll learn or how fast.
Use the app for your own learning. Do not try to break into it, scrape it, resell access to it, take it apart to rebuild the service, use it to abuse anyone, or drive it with automated tools. We can suspend or close an account that does these things.
You confirm that you're not in a country under a United States government embargo or one the United States has designated as supporting terrorism, and that you're not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
The course, Runa's voice and writing, the app, and everything we made stay ours. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your account is open. The Privacy Policy says what we keep about you and for how long.
We'll change the app over time, including adding, altering, and removing lessons and features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app or by updating this page's date, and continuing to use the app is how you accept the new version.
You can stop at any time by deleting the app. You can also delete your account and everything attached to it from Settings inside the app. The Privacy Policy says what goes and what stays. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering the service entirely.
The app is provided as it is. We don't promise it'll be uninterrupted, error free, or available everywhere, and we disclaim the implied warranties the law lets us disclaim, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some places don't allow that, in which case this paragraph doesn't apply to you.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim connected to the app is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
These terms are governed by the law of Mexico, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
Apple isn't a party to this agreement and isn't responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to support or maintain it. If the app fails to conform to a warranty Apple can't disclaim, you may tell Apple, and Apple will give back anything you paid for the app. Beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
